Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Clinic
Provides ongoing assessment, treatment plans, case management, treatment intervention, and speech and orthodontic management for BC and Yukon children with clefts and other disorders of the face and head.
Children born with clefting and other craniofacial birth defects may experience significant feeding difficulties at birth, communication problems such as speech and language disorders or hearing loss, psychosocial and quality of life issues related to their facial difference. A specialized multi-disciplinary team work together to make sure children reach their maximum potential.
