Child Protection
Provides expert medical assessments for children in cases of suspected physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse and serious neglect. The children are seen at a specially designed confidential clinic on the hospital site. Pediatricians are also available to consult with other doctors faced with emergency cases of child abuse throughout the province.

Eligibility
Children and youth aged 18 and under.
Application process
Referral from a doctor, the police, the Ministry of Children and Family Development, or a delegated Aboriginal child protection agency required. Call the 24-hour reporting line if you have reason to believe a child is being abused or neglected.
