Healthy Schools BC Provincial Program
Launched in 2011, Healthy Schools BC (HSBC) is a provincial program that aims to promote the health and well-being of children within schools across British Columbia by:
- Building the capacity of health and education partners to effectively implement health promotion initiatives that support the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of children
- Facilitating partnerships between the BC Ministry of Health, BC Ministry of Education and Child Care, health authorities, education partners, and other key organizations
- Offering evidence-based information, provincial resources and tools
The HSBC program is guided by the Comprehensive School Health approach.
