About the App

The BC Health Service Locator is a mobile resource to help B.C. citizens locate the types of health services they may need when they are on the go or when their regular point of access to health services is not available – whether it's after hours, or in a location other than their home community.

Information included in the BC Health Service Locator is syndicated from HealthLink BC's Navigation Services directory. This information directory was created in partnership with BC's Health Authorities and with contributions from Information Services Vancouver. We gratefully acknowledge the contribution that these partners have made to help bring the most comprehensive directory of health services to the citizens of British Columbia.

This is the first HealthLink BC App, and the first iOS App developed within the Government of British Columbia. It was developed largely through the volunteer efforts of Austin Henry, Derek Sing, Jeff Stewart and Gillian Vrooman. Without their drive and commitment the creation of the app would not have been possible. Thanks are also due to staff in the Ministry of Technology, Innovation & Citizens’ Services and in the Ministry of Health for their efforts in making the app possible.
