The Ministry of Health works together with a provincial health authority, five regional health authorities, and a First Nations health authority that govern, plan and deliver health care services within geographic regions or by type of service. Health Authorities may also have tools or services to help you access your health information.
Interior Health
MyHealthPortal provides patients who have received services at an Interior Health location access to some of their personal health information.
You can register if you are 19 years or older, or between 12 and 18 years with the support of your doctor or nurse practitioner.
MyHealthPortal provides access to:
- Lab reports, medical imaging reports and visit history
- Certain transcribed reports from physicians, nurse practitioners and midwives
- Certain appointment details and instructions
- Allergies and conditions
- Share access to your account
- Request access for a person in your care
Island Health
MyHealth provides patients who have received services at an Island Health location access to some of their personal health information.
You can register if are 19 years or older, or between 12 to 18 years old with the support of your doctor or nurse practitioner.
MyHealth provides access to:
- Island Health laboratory results
- Medical imaging reports
- Clinical documentation
- Outpatient appointments
Northern Health
HealthElife gives Northern Health patients secure online access to select hospital services and hospital digital health information.
You can access information for yourself, your children, or any adult or elderly family members you may be supporting in care.
HealthElife provides access to:
- Lab results, including most COVID-19 tests
- Medical imaging reports
- Scheduled hospital lab and medical imaging appointments
- Online check-in for walk-in lab and other outpatient services
- Access to share your health information
Vancouver Coastal Health, Providence Health Care and Provincial Health Services Authority
You can use AccessMyHealth to view health records for care received through Provincial Health Services Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health or Providence Health Care. It includes records created at hopsitals, Urgent and Primary Care Centres (UPCCs), outpatient clinics and most BC Cancer sites, among others.
Access is available for eligible residents of B.C. with a BC Services Card account. For children 11 and under, access is available through a parent/guardian by proxy.
AccessMyHealth provides access to:
- Appointments (upcoming or previous appointments within the past 24 hours)
- Diagnostic results (imaging, laboratory, microbiology, pathology)
- Clinical documentation beginning February 4, 2026 (for example, discharge summaries, clinic notes and patient handouts)
- Messages sent by a care team
- Procedure history
- Proxy/caregiver access
- Patient information
- Allergies
