British Columbia Specific Information
In some situations, for some people who may be approaching the natural end of their lives or suffering from a life-limiting or life-threatening illness, they may want to record their wish to not have CPR or emergency medical procedures provided by ambulance personnel or other first responders if their heart or lungs suddenly stop.
In British Columbia, the "No Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation" form (No CPR) provides individuals and their physicians with a legal option to order that no CPR be provided by health care providers and first responders when the form has been signed by a consenting person and their physician. For more information about the No CPR form, please contact your health care provider or click here.
