Piercy Respite Hotel
Provides respite care for seniors. Offers a safe, secure and supportive environment to guests, enabling their caregivers to have a period of rest and renewal. Operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Guests of the hotel may vary in their mental and physical abilities, but all must be medically stable, and must have a family caregiver who lives in Greater Victoria.

Eligibility
Individuals may be able to book a stay at the hotel if they are age 55 and over; live at home in the community; require minimum to moderate assistance with activities of daily living; receive assistance or support from family members or a friend to maintain their independence. Guests of the hotel may vary in their mental and physical abilities, but all must be medically stable, and must have a family caregiver who lives in Greater Victoria. There is no physician on site. Guests will need to continue working with their family physician to manage their care while in the hotel.

Program fee
The Ministry of Health sets the standard rate for respite service at the hotel. Guests and family caregivers will be made aware of fees in advance of the scheduled stay.
