Provides an outpatient clinic for adults newly diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis or axial spondyloarthritis, within the last four years. Focus of treatment is on active self-management and working with an occupational and or physical therapist for a maximum of eight sessions, over the course of one year.

Topic areas include symptom management and coping, and how to manage daily functions, pain and fatigue. Exercise and physical activity coaching as well as splinting, adaptive equipment, and advice about footwear and orthotics is also offered.

Adults aged 18 and over newly diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis within the last 4 years, and living in the Fraser Health Authority region.
Application process
Rheumatologist referral accepted only; redirects from other arthritis centres accepted if the original referral is from rheumatology. Call for more information.
Program fee
Fees may apply for splints and or adaptive equipment.
