Home Oxygen Program

Provides home oxygen assessments and funding for eligible residents who need supplemental oxygen in their homes. Oxygen equipment is provided to patients by an Interior Health approved oxygen supplier, with periodic assessments provided by a respiratory therapist.

The program helps clients with health conditions such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, lung disease, cancer, cystic fibrosis and congestive heart failure.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet BC Home Oxygen Program medical eligibility criteria, live in the Interior Health region, and meet Home and Community care requirements.
Application process
Requests for home oxygen service are made by a physician on behalf of the client. Service not available in all areas; contact the nearest Home and Community Care office for more information.
