Forensic Nursing Services

Provides care by a specially trained team of nurses and forensic nurse examiners to people of all ages and genders who have been sexually assaulted or have experienced intentional relationship violence within the past seven days.

Services are confidential and may include assessment and treatment, pregnancy prevention, forensic sample collection, medical reports for police, screening for sexually transmitted infections, and referrals to follow-up medical care, legal and community-based support services.

Go directly to the emergency department for assistance; nurses and doctors are on-call 24 hours a day. The Mobile Assault Response Team at any Fraser Health hospital emergency department can provide support and help with getting to the closest Forensic Nursing Services site.
