First Stage Housing - Haven in the Hollow
Provides a temporary housing solution for up to a year for displaced individuals, as well case management, shelter, food, bus tickets, toiletries and security. Assists residents in securing stable housing that meets their ongoing needs. There are fifteen beds for men, five beds for women, one unit for clients with mobility challenges, and a family unit for families of up to five individuals. Additionally, this program works to provide advocacy for clients in need of treatment, employment, mental health, social assistance, medical, community programming, and identification. A nurse is available twice a week to assess individuals' mental health or addictions related needs. Length of stay is up to one year dependent upon the client's goals and readiness for permanent shelter. Program is supported by BC Housing.
