Specially trained geriatric care team works to maintain or improve mobility issues with the aim to return the older patient to independent living at home. Typical hospital stay is less than fourteen days; elderly patients may be admitted for treatment of dehydration, falls, pain, confusion, drug-related illness, delirium and/or dementia.
