The website provides medically-approved information on over 4,000 health topics, symptoms, and over-the-counter and prescription drugs as well as tips for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and an integrated search and mapping function to more than 4,500 health services in BC. By simply dialing 8-1-1 from anywhere in the Province, people living in B.C. can connect with registered nurses, pharmacists, or dietitians specially trained to answer questions about health topics, identify symptoms, and help determine when to seek a higher level of care.
