Rubella (German measles) rash

Rubella usually causes a rash that is mild, starts on the face, and spreads to the neck, the chest, and the rest of the body. It may first appear as a mild blush before it develops into a more pinpoint rash. Rubella is also called German measles or 3-day measles.
