Physical Activity

The Physical Activity Line (PAL) is now Physical Activity Services at HealthLink BC. You can find physical activity information and tools on HealthLinkBC.ca, you can call 8-1-1 to speak with a qualified exercise professional, or you can Email Physical Activity Services. Qualified exercise professionals are available Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm Pacific Time. Translation services are available in over 130 languages.

Physical activity has many benefits to your health. It can help you get to and stay at a healthy body weight, reduce the risk of bone fractures if you have osteoporosis, and can reduce the risk of many other illnesses like cancer and heart disease.

There are many ways you can add physical activity to your healthy lifestyle, no matter your age or activity level. Physical activity can be fun or relaxing and you can do it on your own, or with groups of other people with similar health goals.
