LifeRing is a support group for people who want to stop drinking or using drugs. It can help you develop a personal recovery plan to stay away from alcohol or drugs.
Unlike some other support groups, LifeRing focuses on the power of the person to get and stay sober. Other programs, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, focus on having a spiritual connection to a higher power to help overcome an alcohol or drug use problem.
LifeRing meetings are held in some communities. Phone numbers for local programs are listed in local phone books. More information is available online at www.liferingcanada.org or by calling 1-888-920-2095 (toll-free).
