Every employer knows that employees who are healthy and happy are good for business.

Yet sometimes, it’s hard to know how to make that happen in your workplace, at a reasonable cost and effort.

Perhaps you are looking for a proven program that employees will enjoy, that comes loaded with all the information, tools and templates you will need, plus someone to talk to when you get stuck.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, why not check out Healthy Workplaces? It is a quality workplace health program offered free of charge to all BC businesses through the Canadian Cancer Society.

Healthy Workplaces is a complete workplace wellness program. It provides all the materials and tools a business needs to deliver a wellness program - just add management support, an employee committee, and get going!

What makes Healthy Workplaces unique is its telephone support line. If you have any questions about the materials, or how to implement the program, just email the friendly staff at the Canadian Cancer Society. They want to help.

Healthy Workplaces focuses on topics that have a big impact on employee health and the prevention of chronic diseases. Plus, they are topics that employees are genuinely interested in. Feel free to do the modules that appeal to you:

  • healthy eating
  • physical activity
  • healthy minds
  • being tobacco-free
  • sun and UV awareness
  • screening and early detection, and living with cancer

Each module comes complete with:

  • educational information to distribute to staff
  • a fun and interactive challenge to engage employees in healthy activities
  • ideas to make your business a health-supporting workplace in the long term, not just during the challenge

Healthy Workplaces provides personalized support to meet the unique needs of your business as well as access to the Healthy Workplaces online application. If you’re looking to boost your current workplace wellness program, Healthy Workplaces also has a library of information and ideas to pull from.
