Home Oxygen Program

Provides home oxygen assessments and funding for eligible residents who need supplemental oxygen in their homes. Oxygen equipment is provided to patients by a Vancouver Coastal Health approved oxygen supplier, with periodic assessments provided by a respiratory therapist.

The program helps clients with health conditions such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, lung disease, cancer, cystic fibrosis and congestive heart failure.

Eligibility
Clients must live in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, have valid BC Medical Services Plan coverage, and meet the health requirements. See the application form for detailed eligibility information.
Application process
Requests for home oxygen service are made by a physician on behalf of the client. See website for referral form.
