Hip and Knee Arthritis Surgical Assessment Program

Hip and Knee Arthritis Surgical Assessment Program

Hip and Knee Arthritis Surgical Assessment Program

Provides a central intake and standardized referral process for candidates for knee and hip osteoarthritis surgery. An Advance Practice Physiotherapist will obtain medical history, a complete medication and supplement list, perform an assessment of hip and knee joint, and determine the need to speak to a surgeon about joint replacement.

Patients who are surgical candidates are provided with pre-operative education and support to ensure they are in optimal health and to reduce the risk of complications.
