Diabetic cystopathy

Diabetic cystopathy

Diabetic cystopathy is a complication of diabetes in which the nerves to the bladder are damaged, leading to problems with bladder control and function. As a result, the bladder can become too full, leak urine, become hard to empty, and cause urinary tract infections.

This condition is usually treated with medicine. Sometimes it is treated with special urinating (voiding) techniques, surgery, or other methods.
