Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH)

Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH)

Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is a condition in which the top of a baby's thigh bone doesn't fit securely into the hip socket. As a result, the thigh bone may partly or fully slip out of the socket. Treatment focuses on moving the upper thigh bone into its normal position and keeping it in place while the joint grows.
