Atopic dermatitis (eczema)

Atopic dermatitis (eczema)

Atopic dermatitis, sometimes called eczema, is a skin problem. It causes dry skin, intense itching, and a red, raised rash. In severe cases, the rash develops fluid-filled blisters. The cause of atopic dermatitis isn't clear. But most people have a family history of allergies. It's not contagious. You can't catch it from others. Moisturizers and prescription creams often help.
