    BC HealthGuide Handbook

The BC HealthGuide Handbook has comprehensive information on how to recognize and manage common health concerns. Learn about how to prevent illness, home treatment options, and when you should see a health professional. You can find topics relevant to people of all age ranges throughout the handbook.

BC HealthGuide Handbooks are available free of charge to British Columbia residents and to organizations that help distribute these in their community.

    English

    In Print

At this time, the English version of the BC HealthGuide Handbook is no longer available by direct order from our website or by calling HealthLink BC at 8-1-1. We are currently exploring opportunities to provide new and updated self-care and general health information resources in print. The English version of the BC HealthGuide Handbook may still be available from local pharmacies or Service BC Centres while their supplies last.

In the meantime, we encourage you to search our website for medically-approved information on more than 5,000 health topics. You can also access our services over the phone by dialling 8-1-1 (7-1-1 for hearing impaired) anywhere in British Columbia. You can speak to a health service representative who can connect you with a registered nurse, registered dietitian or pharmacist, or help you find a health resource in your community.
