HealthLink BC provides confidential health information and advice that you can trust in over 130 languages. The services are available 24 hours every day to help you understand, manage and make better decisions about your health. HealthLink BC continues to expand and improve to help you find the right information and services that you need.
Millions of British Columbians know our services:
- Over 2.7 million BC HealthGuide Handbooks have been distributed to households, health professionals, and agencies throughout B.C. The handbook is available in English, French, Chinese and Punjabi.
- There have been more than 100 million visits (page views) to health information and resources on the web.
- Over 200 BC HealthFiles provide B.C. specific information on public health and safety topics, available on our website and at local public health units.
- Tele-nurses have answered some 1.5 million calls from British Columbians seeking health information and advice. Overall, approximately 60% of those were resolved through self-care or home management of symptoms.
- 20,000 people call each year to speak to a dietitian.

- The Premier's Innovation and Excellence Awards - 2004 Finalist for BC NurseLine Pharmacist Service
- Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) - 2003 Finalist for IPAC award for Innovative Management (Knowledge Management)
- The prestigious Canadian Pharmacists Association Patient Care Achievement for Innovation in 2004 for the BC NurseLine Pharmacist Service
- The Ben Grant Award for Innovative Pharmacy Practice for the BC NurseLine Pharmacist Service - presented by the BC Pharmacy Association in 2003
